Psychiatric service dogs for trichotillomania (hair pulling), dermatillomania (skin picking), and related disorders. Accepting clients now.

Hi! I’m Haley. BFRB Dogs was born in November 2018 as a dream (now realized! in beta!) to train and place psychiatric service dogs with individuals living with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), such as skin picking (dermatillomania/excoriation disorder), hair pulling (trichotillomania), nail biting, etc. Later I hope create a certification program for other dog trainers to help scale this cause.
As of August 2020, I am accepting new clients! The first few BFRB Dogs for trichotillomania, skin picking disorder and nail biting have been trained. I train both psychiatric service dogs that work in public as well as skilled emotional support animals that work from home (not in public) to mitigate challenges associated with BFRBs. Learn more about the ongoing BFRB Dog process (starts with video conferencing) to receive and train a dog, and reach out to get a free consult with me.
